About Us

Nationwide Aquatic Consulting, Inc. (NAC) was founded in 1995 by Robert Freligh. As of 2025 NAC has certified over 16,000 pool operators under the Certified Pool/Spa Operators (CPO®) course from the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (formally the National Swimming Pool Foundation), mostly in the New England area. Rob has been recognized at the National level with many awards at events such as the World Aquatic Health Conference and PHTA events.

Consulting on new construction and renovations of aquatic facilities has ranged from college and high school pools to YMCA pools and spas and has included many hotel and condominium pools. Our design review of proposed construction or renovations is especially helpful to builders, owners and Health Departments.

Our on-site review of existing facilities operations, structures and mechanical systems can aid greatly in planning upgrades and/or renovations or just maximizing the overall aquatic programs efficiency.
